The ninth Devon Alliance event was held at Dartmouth Golf Club on 15th April 2010. The weather was fantastic with a gentle breeze and the recent nice weather meant the course and especially the greens were in great condition.

In the Pro-Am event, Alliance Captain Duncan Arnold from Hele Park won with his partner Guy Westaway. Duncan and Guy had a great score of 42 points and won by 2 points. Elfordleigh Professional Nick Cook and his amateur partner Mark Boulting and Neil Holman (Torbay GC) and home player Andy Dix were joint second on 40 points.

In the Am-Am event, Nick Tedesco (Elfordleigh) and Mark Wood (Staddon) won with 41 points. This is Mark Wood’s third success in a row and now has a unassailable lead in the Amateur Order of Merit. In second place was Fingle Glen pairing of Kevin Pitts and Mitch Davidson on 39 points.

In the Kenyon Trophy there was an excellent score of 38 points from Barry Austin from Downes Crediton. In second place was in from Nick Cook (Elfordleigh) and Captain Duncan Arnold. Paul Hendriksen maintains his lead in the Kenyon Order of Merit.

The Alliance Captain thanked Dartmouth Golf Club for hosting the event, in particular all the Green staff for producing a golf course in fantastic condition. He also thanked the Golf Manager Tony Chappell, all the staff behind the bar and in the Kitchen and the Professionals Rob Glacier and Stuart Barrett in the shop.
