Trevor Jones & Peter Laugher Fourball Champions

Chairman of the West Region PGA, Peter Laugher, paired up with rising star Trevor Jones from Hambrook near Bristol, to win the White Hart Fourball Championship last week.

Peter and Trevor combined superbly to score an amazing 60 on day two of the event, which was played in the toughest of conditions. Next best score on the day was a 64 and followed by a number of 66`s, so this was really a great effort.

Trevor did much of the damage as he mastered the tough conditions, but when he needed support, Peter was right there with a handful of birdies of his own. The pair were the perfect match of youth and experience. Peter who has been working hard on his game this season had just been for a lesson with John Jacobs to sort out his posture. While there he also picked up a great putting tip, which made all the difference to his confidence on the greens.

Peter commented "I have been frustrated for some time with my golf, and to have a fellow Pro look over my overall game was the best thing I have done in years, I will now be following up with more sessions, it really brought home to me what top quality instruction can do for your game."
