David Hutton wins with a superb 62

On another glorious Devon day the professionals, and teams of three armatures, gathered at the Teign Valley course, which was looking at its best . The course has undergone some minor changes, which have improved an already excellent layout. The days event, was generously sponsored by West Country Storage Solutions, there was again a glut of great scoring, with the professionals taking full advantage of the calm conditions.

Winning Pro score on the day was a superb 62 by Hamptworth`s touring Pro David Hutton, David did not have a 5 on his card birding all the par fives, he has worked tremendously hard on his game over recent years and has been close to fighting his way on to the main European Tour, this was a rare visit to a Devon County Event and his great score fully deserved to head home to Wiltshire with the spoils.

In second spot on his own was the in form Barry Austin , he picked up where he left off the day before and another mid sixties round was never in doubt. Barry was attached to Teign Valley for some years and enjoyed great success when attached to the club.

Sean Mason, Gary Milne, and Paul Hendriksen all played well, and scored 67, and along with all the other professionals thoroughly enjoyed the friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the club.

In the team event Andy Fox led the winning quartet of Tim Hobbs,Neil Bennet, and Martin Cocks,

Scott Aimiet, Head Pro at the club, organised the day superbly and thanked everybody who played in the event.
